Angela Ryan: Director Connectionz+

Angela has recently established Connectionz+ after 22 years as Director of the Mana Education Centre supporting schools and communities throughout the Wellington area and beyond.
She has taught at all levels of the primary sector and spent six years as a Deputy Principal before working for Wellington College of Education and Victoria University where her dual role was to establish and grow the Education Centre alongside working as an Advisor to schools focusing on Provisionally Registered Teachers and School leadership.
In 2006 she established the Mana Education Centre as a Charitable Trust. Angela’s roles have included developing an annual professional development programme for teachers from early childhood through to secondary, overseeing a retail outlet of educational resources and a resource library for schools. She has brought many international and national experts into Wellington to work with teachers.
Angela has an interest in Event Management and has organised a number of Regional BP Technology Challenges, Teachers and Principals Conferences and other community events.
In 2013 she led different teams in organising the National NZ Normal Schools Conference, The National School Libraries Association of NZ Conference and the Wellington Region Primary Principals conference. Early 2014 Angela was the coordinator for the very successful Cancer Society Relay for Life held in Porirua.
Angela facilitates workshops for teachers and support staff and in 2014 is a trainer for staff involved with the NZ Government elections.
Angela has proven organisational skills, is an excellent communicator/ networker and is passionate about making connections with education and community for the betterment of both communities and providing better outcomes for young people.
