Mindfulness in Education - Calming Your Classroom

6 November 2019

We can all identify the most anxious children in our classroom or the children who are quick to react or get angry in the playground. How powerful to have tools and techniques to help these children to self-regulate and calm themselves so that they can get on with their learning day. These techniques will not only benefit the high needs children in your classroom but your whole class, including the adults in the room! Mindfulness is really taking centre stage in the education sector as we  better understand the impact our 'emotional' brain has on our 'learning' brain.

Mindfulness strategies are being recommended by Education Psycologists as a proactive way of working with alot of student behaviours as well as being good for you as the teacher / teacher aid / leader.

Sara provides practical ideas, activities and inspiration to take back to the classroom or your centre and start using the very next day.
