“Stepping into a leadership role for the first time isn’t just a change of task - it’s a fundamental shift of identity.”                                                                                                                


This workshop has been developed specifically for new or emerging leaders.  It is an ideal opportunity for you to provide ‘a toe dip’ into leadership development for people who you see as having potential as leaders or who are taking their first steps into leadership roles. 

The workshop will provide new or emerging leaders with

Understanding of the shift in mind-setfrom team member to leader of a team or a key portfolio in the school

Knowledge of the importance of building a leadership profile based on people connection and professional credibility as stepping stones to success

Self-awareness of their own leadership values, strengths, aims and strategies using a “Leadership Dashboard” tool as a ‘personal map’ which you can use to continue coaching them through the year at school

A kitset of tools to build influence as a leader

Skills and strategies to build a strong and committed team

A kitset of tools to work with the people side of leadership

- delegation – what to delegate and how to do it

- problem solving

- entry level coaching skills

Tools for looking after their own effectiveness and efficiency

-running effective meetings

-time management

Confidenceto think and act like a leader

This will be a highly active and practical day that will support people in a non-threatening way to take their next steps on their leadership pathway.
